we have users which work on a lot of different small projects. In every project, another group of CAD documents has to be viewed and/or edited. Therefore we have users with >20 workspaces. Users with lots of workspaces and/or a lot of data in the cache tend to have a lower performance and more problems with the Workgroup Manager. Switching workspaces often can also cause problems with our 3rd party CAD system (Inventor).
Is there a way to remember which objects were collected in a workspace? In this case, the user could keep the number of workspaces low and add all relevant objects easily to a new workspace, when additional work has to be done on the project.
