This is serious. We often work in a "design mode" where we don't need or want to confuse the data base (that is, of course, the "common files" area in the Windchill database)

In this case we would choose to work "locally"

Without consulting the one thousand eight hundred page user manual - What are the benefits of choosing "no server" or "work offline" (or both). in the sever management tab??

 

Ideally we could chose a setting where it would work just like good old Pro E and a file would save to the same folder it came from - WHAT A CONCEPT

As always a PTC support search will yield a great many results that have absolutely nothing to do with my question.

Hi All,

 

I am trying to implement Auto Suggest picker (SuggestTextBox) on WTDocument/WTPart creation wizard in Windchill 10.1. Does anybody have done this before?

Can anyone please help me on this?

We have Winchill 10.2 and love the functionality for CAD data but we're working on documenting and implementing our Q/A manual, SOPs etc. I am tasked with document control and would like to enjoy/apply the WC CAD data control to our non CAD documents, such as check in/check out, permissions, rev control and archive. Is WC a good solution for document management or would SharePoint be better or?

Hi Team,

 

i have come across some problem while creating ECN's in Windchill.

 

Here is the query, I require the Top Level Assembly part number which is in "In Work" state to "Design Release" state. While Doing this the associated sub assembly component part numbers also called and they are in "In Work" State. But i want to use the Sub assembly components in "Design Release" state, to process my top level assembly part number in ECN.

 

Please help me out to resolve this

Hello

After uppgrading from ver WQS10.1 to WQS 10.2 the posibility ty select "List choices order" for LDAP Groups is no longer avaliable in the data definition setup, (se pictures bellow). Is this functionality removed for LDAP-groups in WQS 10.2 or is it my setup that is corrupted? Works for other list objects.

Hello Everyone

 

 

I am looking for some kind of report which can give me the state of each object in the WVS Job Monitor, specially for failed jobs. I have not worked a lot on Query Builder but I don't think we can get such a report from a QB report.

 

Do let me know if you need more info on this. I really appreciate any kind of help I can get on this.

Hi All,

 

Currently in Windchill 9.1 M060 and FlexPLM 9.2 M010, we can configure a Subscription to a Product with some specific events and notification will trigger to respective recipients.

But this functionality works only when individual Products will  have Subscriptions configured. Therefore we want to know that whether any possibilities to configure the subscriptions in such a way that, if any of the products in Library get updated by any one , the notification should send to respective recipients?

 

Eg: There are multiple Products in a Season and we configure only one subscriptions with an event "Edit Attributes". so that any one update the any of the Product Attributes, a notification should send to respective recipients.

 

Path:Navigate to any Product --> Details Page --> Actions dropdown list --> Select "Subscriptions"

In creo direct modeling we can click view information for the active part. I want to change it, so I can select which part I want the information page to be shown.

I don't know which code is used, but does somebody know how to do it?

We are currently running windchill 10.0 using intralink. A couple years ago we had to rehost our server to a new domain and it took months and had to go back to the development team at PTC to resolve the issues. Is upgrading from 10.0 to 10.2 something that I can do myself using PTC's tools? We had Creo 3.0 and would like to use it, but currently it is not compatible with intralink 10.0, I tried searching through PTC's documents but I couldn't find much about upgrading. Has anyone had experience with PTC's tech support helping them with upgrade issues?

I am trying to create a simple report which shows attributes from a specific type and also attributes from one of his child type (sub-type). I could find one article at PTC with an example of unionAll but I could not replicate it.

It shows zero results, I've played a lot with it and it is driving me crazy...

I have been told that file replication only works on download for FlexPLM 10.1.  Does anyone know when and what FlexPLM version will have file replication for both upload and download, which is the behavior of PDMLink file replication.

We recently had a database refreshfrom production to test and after that the Method Server doesnt come up.

I get the below error message in the Method Server logs.

Is it possible to change the default size when Creo View launches from the info page thumbnail ?

Looking at the URL it looks like:

I've installed Windchill PDMLink 10.2 M030. The installation has been completed  but  with leaving two error at Business Reporting and Business reporting language pack.

Unable to find the reason for this.

Request you to suggest me  how to resolve.

I'm trying to create a new information element, copied from an existing information element, within an information structure.  If I simply perform a copy/paste, the resulting copy carries the same attributes (document number, revision, etc....) of the original.

I am trying to find what the supported version of Reader is.  Would it be listed for Windchill or for Creo View?  And if so where can I find that?  I've been looking but haven't been able to.
